SeisRP: Advanced Analysis of Rock and Reservoir PropertiesSeisRP facilitates comprehensive analysis of the relationships between reflectivities, relative properties, and absolute rock properties with key reservoir attributes such as porosity, lithology, and pore fluids. This module supports two main analysis resolutions:Analysis at Well-Log Resolution:
- Investigate the link between reservoir properties and elastic properties using high-resolution well-log data.
- Derive the seismic equivalents of evaluated rock properties via AVO analysis and seismic inversion.
- Compute and evaluate absolute properties, relative properties, or reflectivities, and work with modeled or measured elastic data.
- Perform analysis in depth or in two-way time domains at both well-log and seismic resolutions.
Analysis at Seismic Resolution:
- Establish a time-depth relationship by integrating the sonic log.
- Apply a user-selected wavelet to define the bandwidth for synthetic gathers and seismic attributes.
- Map rock properties, relative properties, and reflectivities to two-way-time and display them at seismic resolution.
- Utilize scatter-plots of selected seismic attributes—color-coded by pay-flag—to enhance interpretation.
Fluids Analysis:
- Assess how variations in fluid elastic moduli and density affect the seismic response.
- Incorporate well-bore conditions (pressure, temperature) and fluid compositions (gas specific gravity, oil API, GOR, and brine salinity) to compute fluid moduli and densities.
- Define three fluid types—namely in-situ, replacement, and brine—that can be combined analytically to model fluid-dependent rock properties and enable fluid substitution analyses on both logs and synthetic seismic data.
